The Shikarbadi of today was formerly a hunting lodge for the former royals of Mewar. This previous hunting lodge of the Royals is beautifully tucked amidst the tranquil and verdant green landscape of the Aravali hills and takes only 15 minutes to reach from the City Palace. To satiate the hunger of wildlife and adventure enthusiast, there is a licensed Deer Park where you can go to visit riding on a horse back. On this excursions trip to the Aravali hills tourists can spot Deer, Antelope, Wild boar, Monkey and blue bull in their natural settings.
